Job Title: Drama Teacher

Duration: 1 day per week, Temporary, 1 year

(contract ends 31 st July 2019). Possibly increasing to 2 days per week in Sep 2019 based on the potential success of subject delivery.

Brondesbury College is a secondary school with an Islamic ethos for boys aged 11 to 16. We are seeking a talented and inspirational teacher to join our internationally known school, teaching drama across the age and ability range, including GCSE.

Applicant must be a hardworking and enthusiastic teaching professional with excellent subject knowledge. The position will involve:

 Teaching drama to students in Years 7 to 11. This includes planning, marking, monitoring, assessing and reporting.

 Taking the lead in developing, delivering and co-ordinating the drama curriculum in line with the school’s Islamic ethos.

 Being responsible for a form group

 Organising drama related trips and extra-curricular activities

 Demonstrating and supporting the ethos and mission statement of the school

 Delivering assemblies and talks

The successful candidate will be a positive role model who will enhance our reputation and upkeep our Islamic ethos and be a motivated individual with a keen interest in encouraging and inspiring students to love learning and excel in all areas of life.

Qualifications:

If you are in interested in this post you must have obtained or be working towards:

 Teaching qualification PGCE or any other route that leads to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

 Awareness of the KS3 and KS4 drama Curriculum

 Islamic knowledge to be able to develop and deliver the curriculum

 NQTs are welcome

Salary Range: £27,500 - £35,600 (Teachers with QTS).

The salary shown is for full time and will be pro rata based on days worked.
