"Inspectors were struck by the eloquence of students speaking and in their contribution to discussion in lessons" Ofsted 2014

At Islamia Girls School, a student’s life is always busy. With a broad curriculum and several after school clubs, students will always find something to do!

We recognise that positive encouragement, appreciation and respect lead to more contented, wholesome students which play a significant part in their ability to learn and achieve.

We promote an Islamic ethos based on our mission statement. We aim to support the personal development of each student spiritually, morally, socially and culturally through the curricular and non-curricular activities. in addition, through RS, students learn about the integrity and spirituality of their own faith and the importance in Islam of respect of other faiths and belief systems.

Student Responsibility & Teamwork

We promote personal responsibility and accountability through our support of the Student Council. The Council is a representative structure for students only with participants from all classes, through which they become involved in the affairs of the school, working in partnership with SLT, Teachers, and parents for the benefit of the school and its students.

Through the Student Council, School Prefects and Head Girls, students have the opportunity to have their voices heard and valued. Students are encouraged to build their self-confidence, develop their own personal voice and views whilst recognising that others may hold an alternative view that is equally acceptable.

We operate a House System which encourages negotiation, cooperation and teamwork in a variety of scenarios across the school, from sporting activities, school plays to curriculum based projects. Through the House system and through continuous reinforcement by teachers, students will learn about responsibility and leadership.

The school is committed to maintaining an environment of safety and wellbeing for all students and staff. The school operates a zero tolerance on bullying and treat any allegation of bullying very seriously.

Please click on the sub tabs to learn about the activities and procedures we have in place to nurture our students and make their stay with us both encouraging and fun.
