One of the many strengths of our school lies in its small size and homely atmosphere. This sense of community is further enhanced by our staffs’ dedication to nurturing the intellectual, spiritual, social, cultural and emotional needs of all students.
A school of moral and academic excellence, therefore, is our overall objective where the complete development of the student is paramount.
Motivated by a team of dedicated and professional staff, the education offered at Brondesbury College aims to produce mature young men with leadership qualities and the ability to contribute, as responsible citizens, to the well-being of our society.
The emphasis is on providing a healthy all-round education in a positive environment guided by the ethical and moral teachings of Islam.
The school is also proud of encouraging its students to engage in debate and critical thinking. The appreciation of other ways of life and other religions is vital to enable students from a very young age to appreciate difference and make friends from all walks of life. We do not believe in sheltering students from reality, but instead we encourage them to confront the issues of the day and try to think about things in a balanced way, from all sides.
We want our students to leave our school with Adab, which is respect for oneself and others, a respect for elders and a strong sense of empathy for those less fortunate.
As a school we are very aware that we have a unique opportunity to help shape young minds and this is why we give great attention to a student’s moral and socially responsible upbringing. Furthermore, as British citizens, we are proud that our society embraces cultures and difference, making it one of the best in the world, and one we aim to engage with and contribute positively to.
Finally, as a Muslim school we encourage our students to always be mindful of Allah and hope that they carry this awareness into their adult lives. We try to impress upon them the importance of establishing regular prayers and maintaining a sense of awareness of a reality that is greater than themselves. The purpose of this is to try and earn the pleasure of Allah by doing good deeds, being kind to others and caring for the needy.
