With the success of our sister schools Islamia Primary School VA and Islamia Girls School, we opened our doors in 1996, housed in the original building that the primary school first began.
The school was founded in recognition of the need for the provision of a broad system of educational excellence; one that would meet the demands of parents who wanted their sons to enter the twenty-first century equipped with the necessary skills and moral qualities to prepare them for the future.
The main building was originally a residential house when it was first purchased. This building was used to setup Islamia Primary School which began as a kindergarten with 13 children back in 1983. To cater for the huge demand Islamia Primary school then relocated to a larger premises on Salusbury Road, a former grammar school premises.
In 1996, Brondesbury College was formed on this site. When we began we had only a single cohort of students for year 7. Every year as our school grew, we took on an extra class until in 2001, we had a full secondary school with Years 7 through to Year 11. This was the first year we entered our Year 11’s for their GCSE’s. That Summer we shot up to the top of the league tables and have been in the top rankings ever since.
