2014-6-2 - Umrah Trip 2014

Verily all praise is due for Allaah, we praise Him, seek His help and forgiveness; we repent to Him and seek refuge in Allaah from the evil of our ownselves and from our wicked deeds. May Allaah bestow His peace and blessings upon the seal of the Prophets Muhammad sallalahu alahi wassalam (peace be upon him).

It gives us great pleasure in announcing our fourth umrah trip, which will insha’Allaah ta’ala be a journey of a life time without a doubt. This is planned towards the Spring half term break in February insha'Allaah and will cater for all students from Year's 7 to 11 who wish to participate. Students are encouraged to complete application forms early as seats are very limited.

It has been reported from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet sallaalahu alahi wassalam said:

“An umrah is recompense and atonement for the period till the performance of the next umrah."

[Bukhari & Muslim]

“The performers of Hajj and Umrah are deputations of Allaah ta’ala. If they call Him, He answers them and if they seek His forgiveness, He forgives them.”

[Ibn Maajah]

Please note that accompanying teachers have alhamdulillah been on umrah before and have experience of organising such events previously and will all be delivered in accordance to the Qura’an and Sunnah insh’Allaah ta’ala.

Alhamdulillah students will be briefed regularly along the journey at every stage and well before departure during important Qura’an and Sunnah Club sessions on Mondays from 15:40 to 16:30, and attendance is important if they are to be considered for the trip.

It has been narrated from Anas Ibn Malik that the Prophet (saw) said:

"The prayer of a person in his house is a single prayer; his prayer in the Masjid of his people has the reward of 27 prayers; his prayer in the Masjid in which the Friday prayer is observed has the reward of 500; his prayer in Masjid Al-Aqsa (i.e. Al-Aqsa Sanctuary) has a reward of 5,000 prayers; his prayer in my Masjid (the Prophet's Masjid in Madinah) has a reward of 50,000 prayers, and the prayer in the Sacred Masjid (Ka'bah) has the reward of 100,000 prayers".

[Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah]

It has been reported by ‘Abdullah Ibn Mas’ud that the Prophet of Allah sallaalahu alahi wassalam said:

"Follow up between Hajj and ‘Umrah (i.e. continuously repeat the performance of Hajj and ‘Umrah) because they both eliminate poverty and sins just like a furnace eliminates the dirty impurities of iron, gold and silver. And an accepted Hajj has no reward less than paradise."

[Sahih Sunan Al-Tirmidhi]

Watch this space, more details are to follow insha'Allaah.
