Scholarships and Hardship Support

At Islamia Girls School, we recognise hard work, talent and a passion for learning. 

We are pleased to offer gifted and deserving students the opportunity to benefit from the Yusuf Islam Foundation Scholarship. We are also able to offer financial support to current students who face difficulty continuing their education. 

The Yusuf Islam Foundation Student Scholarship Programme

Thank you for your interest in the Yusuf Islam Foundation (YIF) Student Scholarship. Applications for the 2025–2026 academic year are now closed. All applicants will be contacted in due course with the outcome of their application. Details about the next application round for the 2026–2027 academic year will be posted here in the coming months.

About the Scholarship

The YIF Scholarship supports academically gifted students whose families are experiencing genuine financial hardship. Scholarship awards may cover up to 50% of a student's tuition fees, depending on the financial circumstances of the parents or guardians.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for a scholarship, a child must:

• Be currently enrolled at Islamia Girls School or Brondesbury College, as a student of Islamia Schools Ltd. or;
• Be a prospective student who has been offered and accepted a place at one of the above schools.

Please note: Scholarships are rarely awarded to new Year 7 students. Only in exceptional circumstances will a student entering Year 7 receive a scholarship.

To qualify for a scholarship, a child must:

• Demonstrate a strong overall academic background; and
• Have a genuine financial need.

The Yusuf Islam Foundation Schools Hardship Fund

The hardship fund is for existing students, and parents who find themselves suddenly unable to pay their children’s school fees. 

The government’s new tax on education has placed massive financial strain on families in our community. If you are faced with the difficulty of paying for your child to continue her/his education at our school, you can apply for support from the Hardship Fund. 

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for support a child must:

• Be currently enrolled at Islamia Girls School or Brondesbury College, as a student of Islamia Schools Ltd.
• Demonstrate a strong overall academic background
• Have a genuine financial need.
